Chris James on Trump’s Easter Sunday Social Media Post
Gilbert, AZ — April 5, 2026
“As millions of Americans celebrate divine redemption, whether through Easter or Pesach, our President is posting on social media promising violence, destruction, and using language at odds with this holy weekend. Arizonans deserve better. If our troops are being committed to war, if our resources are being spent on armed conflict, the least we should know is that those who carry that heavy burden have the presence of mind and respect for the gravity of their actions to act responsibly. Our military is the finest in the world and we are all grateful for the immense effort that went into the rescue of our downed crew. Our Commander in Chief is falling short—and it’s being reinforced by an inner circle that too often confuses loyalty with competence. That’s not leadership, and it’s not working for the American people. Congress must exercise its oversight responsibilities and reassert its Article I powers. If we are declaring war, Congress must take its constitutional role seriously.”
